About Us

Our Approach
At Blues City, our mission is to provide the most comprehensive, well-rounded fitness experience to improve overall health and wellness for our members. We do this through a cyclical, multi-phased approach to fitness, using CrossFit as our foundation.
We are a first-rate, compelling training experience polished with professional coaching that is process-oriented to get you to your goals. We are here to provide you with a supportive environment to begin – and excel in – your fitness journey.
We are here to transform our body and mind, with a community that supports that journey. We are not your typical CrossFit Gym!
Our Community
We know that fitness can be hard. We also know that it can be fun. And what’s more fun than hanging out with your friends? We’ve focused on building a kind, supportive and fun community at Blues City. One that celebrates each other’s accomplishments while always nudging us to get better.
Not to mention, we hold each other accountable to showing up, putting in the work, and always looking for that opportunity to celebrate.
Our community is made up of all sorts of people from all parts of the St. Louis region. From lawyers to doctors, students to CEO’s, and everyone in between. (We even have a few members that reside in other states but still participate in our programming and log their daily scores in our app so we can send them virtual fistbumps and cheers from afar!)
Meet The Blues City Team
Blues City Athletics is led by seasoned fitness experts in CrossFit training, conditioning, weightlifting, nutrition, gymnastics, and much more.

Stephen Wallace
Founder & Head Coach
Stephen started doing CrossFit in 2013, and by 2015 he was competing at Regionals as an individual. He’s since competed as a member of the Blues City Team during the 2021 CrossFit Games and in several other top-level CrossFit competitions across the United States.

Erin Langan
CrossFit & Youth Coach & Client Success Manager
With a passion for working with kids, Erin is our youth fitness extraordinaire. She’s got her Level 1 and CrossFit Kids certifications, and plenty of extra training from her two boys.

Aimee Dempsey
CrossFit Coach
Aimee has been doing CrossFit since 2016. Yet somehow, even with her Level II certification she still prefers any movement that doesn’t involve a barbell. Her specialty involves gymnastics and a long run.

Cam Williams
CrossFit Coach
Cam joined a CrossFit gym after stumbling across the CrossFit games on television one Saturday afternoon in 2015. Today, Cam has his CrossFit Level 1 and coaches some of our evening classes.

Amber Orr
CrossFit Coach & Catbodies
With a background in competitive gymnastics and years spent honing the perfect kip, she knows what she’s talking about when it comes to getting up on the bar. When she’s not coaching our adult classes, she coaches up-and-coming gymnasts at a local competitive gymnastics club.

Taylor Streid
CrossFit & Physical Therapist
Taylor started CrossFit in 2013 and hasn’t looked back competing at the Regional, SemiFinal and Games level. She loves combining her competitive CrossFit and physical therapy expertise at Blues Note Power Hour and the competitor crew.
Blues City CrossFit was founded in 2018, with the help of our partner (Training For Warriors – Central) in a shared space in Webster Groves, MO.
