Raise your hand if you are going a little stir crazy during these quarantine orders.
I am pretty sure everyone that is reading this just raised their hand.
I, for one, am ready for a bit of normalcy back, whatever that means nowadays, but the number one thing I look forward to is being able to return to Blues City! I miss the gym, I miss the sounds of barbells hitting the ground, I miss classes, and most importantly, I miss all of the people there.
I miss the cheers that keep you going in a workout, the high fives at the end of the workout, and the conversations that are had between lifts.
It is a strange world we are living in these days, and I am grateful that, from the best of my knowledge, we have all stayed safe and healthy in these trying times.
It has been fun seeing all the creative ways to fitness everyone has come up with. Between hanging pull up bars from the garage ceiling to weighted backpacks, to step-ups on the backyard retaining wall. We have all conquered this quarantine time.
However, when those doors open again, you can bet that I will be there and excited to say hi to all of the members. We may not be able to high five or get in each other’s face to cheer each other on, but we will be able to be around each other again, and that comradery is irreplaceable.
This time has made me think about a lot of things in my life, and one thing that I keep coming back to is being proud to be a part of the awesome community at Blues City.
