What the heck do you do outside of this place?
I am a lawyer, managing my own firm in Clayton. We mainly represent plaintiffs in class action lawsuits in Missouri and California. But outside of work, I enjoy going to restaurants, seeing live music and cooking. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids, which consists of a lot of bike rides around our neighborhood and Forest Park these days.
Fun fact about you
I am from New Jersey, not St. Louis
What’s something not everyone knows about you?
I played college soccer at Fairfield University in Connecticut
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Eating all of my kids’ leftover chicken fingers
What’s a goal you’re working toward?
Mobility. My overhead position really suffered during quarantine. The snatch has always been my most difficult lift, so I’m hoping increased mobility will translate to improvement on the lift.
What’s your favorite workout?
Fran. It combines two of my favorite movements in a super-fast workout. And I like anything with descending reps.
What’s the hardest fitness-related thing that you’re always working on?
Muscle ups. It took me years to finally do them consistently.
Why do you like Crossfit?
You will never get bored because of the variety of the workouts and movements. You will never do the same thing two days in a row!
What’s your favorite part about Blues City (What? We had to ask!)?
The programming. It’s phenomenal. We do everything. I love the variety. Each cycle builds on certain areas that really allow you to improve. And there is extra programming available through the goat tracks if you want to put in more time.
